Ankevia Taylor, Esq.

Ankevia Taylor is a licensed attorney in the state of Florida, practicing both criminal defense and family law at O'Mara Law Group, located in Orlando, FL.

Ankevia Taylor is a Spring 2023 graduate of Florida A&M University College of Law, where she served as the 2022-2023 Editor-in-Chief for the FAMU Law Review. In her time as the Editor-in-Chief of FAMU Law Review she had the opportunity to have her article "The American Dream Belongs to All of Us: Latinos and Jamaican Americans Experience Cultural Genocide by American Assimilation" published in Volume 17, Issue 2. of the journal. This article can also be found on Racism.org as it has been published on that website as well. 

 

Following her time at FAMU Law, Ms. Taylor served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial District of Florida where she prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony crimes in Orange County, Florida. In this role, she worked diligently with various state and federal law enforcement agencies to prosecute those accused of committing crimes. As an Assistant State Attorney, she worked to promote public safety by using data-driven methods to hold offenders accountable and provide restorative justice for victims in an effort to build stronger, safer communities. During her time as an Assistant State Attorney, Ankevia had the opportunity to complete 13 jury trials! 

 

Ms. Taylor brings her knowledge of the law and jury trial experience to O'Mara Law Group to fight for the rights of our clients and ensure a fair and speedy trial for all. In addition to practicing criminal defense Ms. Taylor will also be working on family law matters to assist clients with reaching the best possible outcome for their family.
